Red FortAccording to dependable sources, security agencies are gearing up to emplace advanced artificial intelligence(AI)- grounded security systems with enhanced surveillance capabilities at the Red Fort for the forthcoming Independence Day fests. The new security measures will include automated crowd estimation and sophisticated surveillance features to ensure a secure terrain.
A nonpublic document reveals that CCTV cameras equipped with videotape analytics features will be strategically placed at crucial locales around the venue. These intelligent videotape surveillance systems will have colorful features, including vehicle number plate recognition, face discovery, people movement shadowing, catch cautions, audio discovery, and intrusion monitoring. The system will also detect defocus and related or missing objects.
” We’ll be using AI-fortified cameras to cover and count the entry and exit of individualities within the demesne. AI will automate the crowd size estimation,” a security planning functionary stated.
The AI-powered cameras are designed to detect abandoned baggage in public areas, offering intrusion discovery capabilities for high-threat zones. Zone-based warnings can be set according to the precedence and perceptivity of each designated area, icing acclimatized security measures.
An advanced facial recognition system (FRS) will be stationed to identify faces in real-time through live camera feeds and recorded videos. If a match is set up, the system will cross-check faces against a” Watch List” database and shoot instant cautions to the control room. The FRS can identify multiple faces within group images and search for analogous faces from a single camera or across numerous cameras. Also, the system can search for individualities by name or analogous facial features and detect unknown faces using either a single image or a group print.
An elderly government functionary said that while facial recognition systems have been used several times, this time will see the preface of a Number Plate Recognition( NPR) system. The NPR system will decry vehicle license plates through real-time, 24×7 videotape processing, automatically recording videotape and shots of each vehicle, including any that violate security protocols. The NPR system will integrate multiple cameras and detectors to capture motorist images.
In preparation for the event, the Delhi police will install over 700 CCTVs and more than 150 cameras equipped with videotape analytics features. More than 10,000 security personnel, including Delhi police officers and civil forces, will be posted in and around the Red Fort and other critical locales in central and northern Delhi.
A recent security review meeting was held at the Red Fort, attended by a platoon of central intelligence agencies and other concerned security officers. The review was conducted in light of the recent attack on former US President Donald Trump during a public event.
